Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an operational project manager to coordinate planning and execution of two large flagship customer events (BIO and ADLM) across multiple business divisions. The role requires translating strategic direction into detailed plans while managing complex vendor relationships, stakeholder coordination, and onsite logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of BIO and ADLM events, developing project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Serve as primary operational contact coordinating across Customer Marketing, business divisions, Communications, Finance, and external partners
• Manage vendor relationships with exhibit houses, production agencies, and event suppliers for booth fabrication, graphics, shipping, and onsite logistics
• Develop and maintain project documentation, planning calendars, action logs, and governance processes through event completion
• Conduct post-event debriefs, capture lessons learned, and identify operational improvements for future planning cycles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of corporate event management, conference planning, trade show management, or related experience
• Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder events with complex operational requirements
• Experience coordinating with exhibit houses, production agencies, venues, and external suppliers
• Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Experience working in large, global, matrixed organizations preferred
• Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance
