We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a local community college client in Walnut Creek CA. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience supporting DSA projects within an active campus environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist the project management team with various parts of the project such as constructability review value engineering pay app reviews schedule development FF&E program development and execution.
• Assist in formulating the design bid and project phase of scheduling.
• Assist in the Addenda and Bid process.
• Under supervision of Project Manager conduct pre-bid and job start meetings.
• Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager.
• Under the supervision of Project Manager facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies are received and documented.
• Under supervision of Project Manager conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy.
• Prepares field reporting for review by Project Manager.
• Perform QA/QC process.
• Review change orders for completeness and conformance to company and client standards.
• Review RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team.
• Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management.
• Review and maintain As Built drawings.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Attendance at work during normal business hours.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Education: BS in Construction Management Engineering Quantity Surveying Architecture or related field

Experience: 3 years of experience in Project Management engineering or construction management

Previous California K-12 DSA or public works project experience required.

The salary range for this full-time role is $81500.00-$108700.01 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position geography client and industry experience and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range depending on a candidates experience skills and qualifications including client requirements.
